Broadway Locksmith, Inc. began
business in 1951 on Broadway Avenue and remained in the same location until 1986. From there, we moved around the corner to
our present location on the corner of east John and 10th avenue east. We have four locksmiths on our staff,
with a combined experience of over 100 years. We provide full-service locksmithing, from quality key duplication to high-end
lock sales, service, and repair.
We specialize in automotive locksmithing, which
includes providing lock-and-key service for antique, vintage, classic, and nearly all European and Japanese vehicles, not
to mention any other domestic vehicle. We have been able to advance our skills as new technology in auto security progressed
through the years.
We are capable of generating replacement keys when keys
are lost for nearly all years and makes of vehicle. We can duplicate and program all but a few keys that use transponder technology,
whether by simple cloning by using equipment that reads existing transponder I.D. and writing that I.D. to a new duplicate
key for the same vehicle, to using a hand-held programming tool for access via the O.B.D. port, the vehicle's E.C.M.
(computer).
We have a sizeable inventory of auto locks, including
locks for vintage vehicles, as we provide new lock re-keying service to the automotive businesses in our city, (new car dealers,
used car dealers, body shops, and repair garages).
As for general locksmithing services, we sell all products
available to us on a retail and wholesale basis. We also service, repair, install or re-key all makes or brands of locking
devices, including digital entry locks, electric strikes, and door closers. And, we generate and maintain master key systems
from a single master to great grandmaster systems.
We also cut keys by code for nearly all locks, whether
they are furniture locks to automotive locks, including using state-of-the-art "laser" cut (sidewinder, sidemill, etc.)
technology. We have an inventory of antique furniture key blanks
used for china cabinets and dressers etc. We also keep an inventory of "bit" keys (skeleton keys), as the majority of homes
in our area 80 to 100 years old, with original lock hardware still in use.
